Purpose of Role To promote the safe, effective, and economic prescribing of medicines by the advancement of ward/ clinical pharmacy and medicines information services in Treatment Centre. To work with clinicians to develop protocols ensuring best practice and cost effective treatment. To gain experience in all aspects of the day-to-day practice of hospital pharmacy and the running of the department. Communication and working relationships: Responsibility for patients: Responsibility for Policy and Service Development: Responsibility for Financial and Physical Resources: Responsibility for Staff: Responsibility for Research and Development: Additional information Education and development To participate in appropriate training courses Professional To adhere at all times to the Professional Code of Conduct, and any other professional guidelines/ documents. Regulatory framework To adhere at all times to the regulatory frameworks set out by the Care Quality Commission incorporating the requirements for Independent Health Care, as well as The Department of Health Standards for Better Health by working to company policies and procedures. Infection control It is the responsibility of all individuals to comply with infection control policies and to attend any appropriate training requirements in line with the company’s responsibility to comply with Government Directives and associated codes of practice and take appropriate action where non-compliance is evident.
