Product Manager  Salary up to £55,000 p.a. (according to experience) Overview: Computer Services Limited, the UK’s leading supplier of Hospital Medicines Management Systems (Pharmacy, Electronic Prescribing and Medicine Administration), has a vacancy for a Product Manager. Impressive customer base accounts for around half of the NHS and includes some of the UK’s leading teaching hospitals as well as customers in Ireland and South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the development of product roadmaps, producing detailed operational requirements through liaisons with clients (principally through User Groups), and communicating newly developed features internally. This position requires a person with a healthcare background and experience in one or more of the following areas: ·Hospital Pharmacy ·Product Management ·Company products ·ePrescribing and/or pharmacy IT. Knowledge of Microsoft Project would be a distinct advantage and knowledge of programming language structures, limitations and data types is highly desirable. The successful applicant will also possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Located in the office, applicants must be prepared for occasional travel within the UK and other territories. Consideration will be given to occasional home working but the position requires close liaison with the Development teams. Job description Title:Product Manager Reports to: Development Manager Job purpose: To provide product management support to. Key responsibilities and accountabilities: 1.Own and manage the product roadmap. 2.Develop and document product feature functionality specifications. 3.Represent company at User groups and other product/industry relevant meetings. 4.Liaise with User Groups on roadmap issues. 5.Liaise with specialist groups/clients on final specifications. Scale and territory indicators: Core products ·Pharmacy Management system and modules including MTA, TPN, CIVAS & CYTOS. ·Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration module. ·Interfaces. Territory UK, Ireland and South Africa (current client base) Personal profile: Personality Applicants should be self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook. A natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance. Mature outlook, credible, and comfortable in dealing with prospective and existing clients. Reliable, tolerant and determined. Well presented and business like. Sufficiently mobile and willing to travel on occasion including possible overnight stays. Personal Situation Willing to locate to Basildon area or commute on a regular basis Able to work flexible or extended hours on occasions when required. Consideration will be given to home working on an occasional basis but close and regular liaison with the Development team is required. Must have clean or near clean driving licence. Specific Job Skills Good analytical skills with experience in specification writing preferred. Good communication skills both verbal and written. Computer skills Must be adept in use of MS Office 2000 or later, particularly Excel and Word, Internet and email. Knowledge of Microsoft Project would be a distinct advantage and knowledge of the structure and limitations of the programming languages and data in use is essential. Literacy and Numeracy Must be a competent writer of business letters, documents and proposals. Business Skills Able to demonstrate success and experience in one or more of the following key areas is preferred: •Hospital Pharmacy •Product Management •Company products •ePrescribing and/or pharmacy IT.
